Halloween Hijinks

Last night's Halloween Recap:

What a beautiful night - balmy 50 degree weather, totally clear and no wind!

Like last year, I dressed up as a Witch. I tend to repeat once and then I am more motivated to buy a new costume. But I didn't take Hannah with me Trick-or-Treating.

In this picture we have:
George as the Headless Horseman, Erica as converted vampire Bella Swan and Brian as some creepy skeletal monster.

Erica and Brian show us their scary side....

Mr. Buck dressed up as an alien:

Henry dressed up as the swamp thing, and Brian tries on the Alien head:

George's mom, Jill, does a great job at decorating her house. This year, She built a full size coffin that was placed in the middle of the front yard. Erica emerges from the coffin....

Once the kids were done Trick-or-Treating, Brian and George took turns in the coffin, making scary noises, banging the lid up and down. This really scared many of the visitors to the house. Every now and then, someone would gingerly inspect the coffin, tap on it, or start to lift the top. This was the coffin dweller's cue to emerge with a growl. Very effective scaring, very appropriate for Halloween.
