Know When to Fold 'Em

I was feeling rather uninspired today, so I checked out the Daily Shoot challenge:

Paper can have texture, be folded, made into an airplane, or crumpled/torn. Make something with paper, then make a photo.

My son has a huge bag of these award tickets, you know, the kind you "win" at arcades or game places. Feed in a quarter for a chance to hit the Jackpot, get a couple of tickets, then after you've spent $20 to earn 50 tickets, redeem said 50 tickets for a pack of gum. Yup, you all know what I'm talking about.

On occasion, the boy actually hits the Jackpot, and his friends pool all their tickets together. Thus we have amassed over 1000 tickets. The tickets are paper and folded - and thus I have my subject for today's picture.

Silver Spatters

I meant to post this last week, but you know, vacation got in the way. Turns out it fits today's Daily Shoot Assignment - Focus on a fragment of an object today. Make a photograph that only shows part of an object, not the whole thing.

Sliver Spray

Jordan, one of the summer students hired to paint at the factory. They were painting the fence with silver paint and getting it all over themselves. I walked by as they were going about their painting and had to get my camera out of my office.

And now I know why painters wear coveralls. Even as a bystander, I found myself spattered a bit with silver paint after the impromptu photo shoot.
