Windseeker

There's something about those swing rides that spin you around in the air - like the one at Navy Pier in Chicago. Maybe these rides remind us of our childhood, swinging in the backyard, so high it feels like we're kicking the sky.

We're at Cedar Point and their newest ride is a variant of the carosel swing ride - swings that take you up 300 feet in the air. Literally kicking the sky.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to experience it - the ride was closed most of the day, plagued by what we call "new ride breakdowns". But the structure is so pretty along the shores of Lake Erie.

I love how it looks at night, a star like beacon:

A little closer view today
Newest ride at #cedarpoint. Of course, it's not working.

At dusk the lights go on. So pretty.

One day, we'll get to ride it and hopefully, I'll be able to take pictures up in the air.

These are wonderful photos!
So evocative of amusement parks from the 50's and 60's.
