Mosaic Monday - Shopping Scene

What else to do on a rainy Saturday afternoon, when the original activity (white water rafting) has been canceled? Why, you hit the mall of course.

Especially since the mall here is much bigger than the one at home, and Old Navy is running a sale on kids' jeans ($10 per pair).

After the obligatory jeans have been purchased and tucked back in the car, I set off to do some serious shopping with my daughter, hitting every teen oriented store, all conveniently located in the same wing of the mall. Those retailers don't miss a trick....

Abercrombie and Fitch (overpriced, smelly and too loud), then American Eagle, the Aeropostale and Sephora, Hollister and finally Forever 21. Is there an award for surviving shopping with my teen?

I did manage to score a sweater in the Hollister - one appropriate even for me! And a set of new place mats for the kitchen table.

Here's the mosaic of some of the items we saw while shopping:
Scenes While Shopping

Top left - the sweater from Hollister. I plan to wear it with a white cami over jeans. It's my first sweater purchase of the season and I am so ready for Fall....
Top right - a cute plastic fisheye camera from Lomography, spotted in the American Eagle store. I had to tear myself away from purchasing it.
Bottom left - The Best Buy has Vinyl LP Records for sale. Amazing.
Bottom right - the pattern of the place mats I purchased, from the Pottery Barn

So I guess my "reward" is the sweater and place mats. I'll take it....

Sounds like the white water rafting would have been more fun. Sorry about the rain. I love your two choices though, the sweater is cute and I like the colors and pattern on the place mats. Nice rewards for yourself. Great mosaic, have a wonderful week!

Sometimes it's nice to have a Plan B. Why, I wonder, was A and F smelly? I haven't been to a mall in so long, but am going next Thursday and I certainly hope that I find some good deals, too.

Well, I definitely think that there should be an award for that shopping spree. Being brutally honest...I hate those stores and I am so glad that my daughters are old enough to shop for themselves now. They would get so frustrated with me when we were shopping.

I remember those days. I'm pretty sure there are no medals for teenager shopping survival, but the memories still rock my world.

Always good to have a plan B and glad you scored some things for yourself.
