Cruising Day One - At Sea

After retiring the previous night to the sights of the muddy Mississippi, we awoke to clear water as far as the eye could see. The stiff ocean breeze rendered the humid air more bearable and you knew it would be a hot, tropical day.

But no worries, I took a morning walk along the Promenade deck.

We played shuffle board here the night before -

After braving the hungry masses during morning's breakfast buffet, we decided to enjoy lunch in the serenity of the sit down restaurant. This dining room, aptly named Windows, is filled with natural light from the two story arched windows on the ship's aft.

I had to take pictures.

Lunch time

We spent most of the day relaxing and reading. We even tried our luck at some bingo (I think Brian is a little obsessed with trying to win). Overall, a nice start to our vacation.

Next stop - the costal beach of Costa Maya, Mexico.
