Camera Class

I held a casual camera class this afternoon. Friends Lisa and Kellie want to learn more about their cameras and since I played a role in their interest in photography, I offered to teach them a bit about the basics of Exposure, Aperture and Shutter speed.

Kellie started Project 365 at the beginning of the year with her point and shoot and she is doing great. I loaned her my old D70 so she could get some experience with a DSLR. Lisa bought a new D3100 and has been taking pictures using auto and the default camera settings. Both of them had great questions, caught on fast and are on their way.

Studious

I hope to follow up today’s session with a photo walk or two. Two of my other friends, Heather and Janice want a learning session, too. I really enjoy sharing with my friends.

You are so good, Shirley. I'm thinking a beach walk might be a great place for photos! :)

How nice of you to share your knowledge with your friends! They are learning from a very good photographer. :-)
