Current Photography Challenges

From time to time, I'll participate in various photo challenges through Flickr - the kind where there's a theme and you add your photo to a Flickr group [The Pioneer Woman holds her challenges that way]. It's a great way to interact with other Flickr members and view the amazing work of others.

But because the linking is all done through Flickr, I forget to post what I've submitted here. So here are some of the photo challenges I routinely participate in:

Iffles Monthly Theme
- Jennifer at iffles.com posts a monthly theme. At the end of the month, she highlights several photos from that month. The only requirement is the photo must be taken during the month - the purpose is to get out and take photos. It's simple concept and I love simple. In February, the theme was "drinks":

Yellow and Green

Diablo Pinot Noir
March's theme is "Transportation" and there is plenty of time left in March to find some trains, planes or automobiles.

The Creative Mama Photography Contest
- this one is a new group for me. The themes are posted on the blog and you enter in one photo. The current theme is "Treating Yourself Well", open until next Monday.

Kim Klassen's Everyday Pets
- a fun group showcasing your pets. I submit pictures of our cats. And since we just bought a horse (yes, you read that right), I can post pictures of him:
Another Profile

The Daily Shoot
- A daily challenge whose theme is broadcast over Twitter several times during the day. I really need to get more involved with this group!

There you go - several ways to participate with other photographers, challenge yourself and find inspiration.
