79/365 - Diary of a Wimpy Kid
The latest book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series arrived for Brian.
I'm sure there's some potty humor, but if it gets him to actively read, I'm OK with a little bit of it.
Erica has been reading it, too. She'll probably finish it tonight.

Erica and Brian fought last night over this book - they both wanted to read it. Erica finished it on the drive to school this morning and Brian finished the book this afternoon! Normally, one of Brian's homework assignments is to read for 20 minutes each day, which I have to actively enforce. Not this afternoon. That's progress.

Noah {LOVES} the WK books! He is not a big reader at all but he finishes these in about 2 days!

Ahh, my middle ds loves those books too! I've read one, they aren't too bad on the potty humor- and they are FUNNY! Has your boy gotten into the Captain Underpants series yet? Now THAT is potty humor (but still REALLY FUNNY!)

Cute photo! Nice perspective and capturing of a very specific stage. I'm all for WHATEVER kids will read, and if it has humor in it, all the better, because humor really doesn't challenge the ability to be abstract. And who of us doesn't engage in potty humor from time to time?
