Eye in the Sky

I thought the swirling clouds resembled the Eye of Isis.

Eye In the Sky

My head cold appears to be waning, and the bulk of my Christmas preparations are complete, so I am feeling less stressed now and ready for a nice weekend. I hope you have a great Friday evening

The Double V

The bird activity has been high these past few days. This was taken on Tuesday, probably the nicest day of the week, before the our third snowstorm of December on Wednesday.

I think the birds know something we don't. Like when to get out of town.

348/365 - Snow Covered

Violin and Music

I love music, I love listening to music and I love to create music.

I don't always like performing for others. Because there's that self imposed stress that accompanies the desire for perfection. I know it holds be back from trying things that are hard, things I don't like. But I take lessons, I practice and I force myself in front of an audience. And when the performance is over, I feel satisfied that I've done a good job.

Last Saturday I performed the first movement of Mendelssohn's violin concerto, Opus 64. It's a piece I wouldn't have chosen to play, but it challenged me and I'm glad I did.
